Endocrinologist Joins West Florida Internal Medicine

Vishnu N. Behari, M.D., FACE has joined the Internal Medicine Department of West Florida Healthcare and the Medical Staff of West Florida Hospital. He practices in the Internal Medicine Department located at 2120 E. Johnson Avenue in Pensacola, specializing in endocrinology and internal medicine with a special emphasis in diabetes management.
Dr. Behari earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. Following medical school, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. He completed his residency training at Howard University Medicine, District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington, D.C. where he was named Chief Resident. Dr. Behari also completed an Endocrinology Fellowship at George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
During his medical training, Dr. Behari was the recipient of a number of honors, including the Resident of the Year Award and the C.V. Mosby Book Prize in Medical Microbiology.
Dr. Behari was in private practice in Louisiana prior to joining West Florida Hospital’s Medical Staff. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
