Free "Blocked Blood Vessels and Peripheral Artery Disease" Seminar

Pensacola, FL – On Thursday, March 21, West Florida Healthcare will offer a free seminar entitled “Blocked Blood Vessels and Peripheral Artery Disease.” The seminar will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the 7th Floor Auditorium of West Florida Hospital, 8383 N. Davis Highway, Pensacola, and the featured speakers will be Micheleanne Celigoj M.D., interventional cardiologist; Jose Guitian, M.D., interventional cardiologist; and Christopher LeCroy, M.D., vascular surgeon.
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a circulatory condition caused by narrowing arteries. When blood flow to the legs and arms is reduced, circulation problems can develop and may require treatment. Symptoms of PAD may include: pain when walking, cramping, numbness, weakness, sores that won’t heal, coldness in feet or legs, and change in skin color. At this seminar, the physicians will discuss how PAD is diagnosed and managed as well as the non-surgical and surgical treatment options that are available.
