West Florida Hospital to Offer Free “Hip and Knee Arthritis” Seminar

Pensacola, FL – West Florida Hospital will offer a free seminar entitled “Hip and Knee Arthritis” on Thursday, April 12 from 6-7 p.m. in the hospital’s 7th Floor Auditorium, 8383 North Davis Highway, Pensacola. The seminar will be presented by Donald Dewey, M.D., orthopedic surgeon.
At the seminar, Dr. Dewey will discuss how arthritis affects the hips and knees as well as the treatment options that are available. Dr. Dewey will also talk about the latest implants available today and how they can offer a shorter recovery time and increased range of motions for many patients.
In the United States, approximately 600,000 people have hip or knee replacement in a given year. Contributing factors include osteoarthritis, obesity, repetitive wear and tear, and injuries.
