Michael Tavernaris, MD
Dr. Tavernaris earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. His postdoctoral training included a Residency in Family Medicine and a Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine, both at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Tavernaris has research experience in several areas, including orthopedic sports injuries and body image perception.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Tavernaris is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the Florida Medical Association. In addition to English, Dr. Tavernaris is fluent in Greek and proficient in Spanish.
