Richard Hawthorne, DO
Dr. Hawthorne earned his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in Kansas City, Missouri. His postdoctoral training included a Residency in Family Medicine at Southwest Georgia Family Medicine in Albany where he earned “Intern of the Year” honors and was later named Chief Resident.
Prior to joining West Florida Medical Group, Dr. Hawthorne worked as a hospitalist in Albany, Georgia. A hospitalist is a physician that manages the medical care of patients while they are in the hospital.
A native of Jay, Florida, Dr. Hawthorne is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
