West Florida Rehabilitation Institute’s stroke program is accredited through the Joint Commission’s Disease specific certification. We offer a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to maximize you and your family's recovery from stroke. An early program of rehabilitation following a stroke enhances your recovery and quality of life.

At the Rehabilitation Institute, the Stroke Program is carried out by our team of healthcare professionals who work closely with you and your family to make social, psychological, and physical adjustments following a stroke. An interdisciplinary team develops an individualized rehabilitation plan with input from you and your family to assist each individual in achieving a maximum level of independence.

Regular team conferences assure that a coordinated and individualized approach is taken. Rehabilitation is a process of continuous learning. Ongoing patient and family education, training and practice are an integral part of the rehabilitation process.
